A windy day at Melkbosstrand beach
Windsurfers, to the sky they reach
Sounds of waves and a gazebo screech
To the right, the houses of the rich.
The beachgoer’s gazebo starts to break
They decide to pack up, down they take
Waiting in the car for my skins sake
Sensitive to the sun, my face will bake.
The kids are swimming, enjoying it all
Hoping they don’t hear that home call
Splash, into the water they fall
It is high tide now, the waves are tall.
The sun burn’s my left arm
Cover with a towel before the harm
Although the beach is a place of calm
Later, my skin will need some balm.
I prefer the beach more the cooler it gets
I will enjoy it more, I can make a bet
I will take a walk, my feet wet, and
Enjoy the view of the beautiful sunset.
