I wonder what will unfold in two thousand and twenty-five.
Will all the dreams inside of me finally come alive?
I refuse to fold, stumble and struggle to survive.
I can plan as much as I want to, but God has the final say.
No matter how many new year’s resolutions I make for one day,
The best thing to do is stay on my knees, believe and pray.
Every year we make those resolutions or choose baby names,
But then life throws a curve ball and shows us flames.
Sometimes we take life way too seriously, we should play more games.
By games, I mean family time, 30 seconds, board games and more,
It is time to have some fun without keeping score.
Cause you never know when it is time to walk through Heaven’s door.
Be serious about your faith, family, future and your current income,
Because without those things, your life will be pretty glum, chum.
It is good to play games, but don’t let the fun cause a conundrum.
In two thousand and twenty-five, I will be serious and have fun,
Prioritise the priorities, and preserve my soul like a nun.
I will enjoy the beach vibes while avoiding too much sun.
The sooner we realise that life’s all about balance,
And that if the scales tip, we might not get another chance,
We will see life from a different glance, and obtain a new stance.
Whatever comes to you this year, be bold and don’t fear,
Discern what is from God, and what is from the enemy’s sneer.
Ask God to guide your way, and if need be, let Him steer.
This year, I will make no resolution, but trust God for every solution.
I will analyse every situation, and hand it to God for confirmation.
I will stand strong in my affirmation that God is my firm foundation!
